Meet Dr. Michael J. Sileo

Dr. Sileo, a proud Long Island native, graduated magna cum laude from the College of William and Mary in 1998 before earning his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook in 2002. His post-graduate training included a surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Stony Brook, where he was honored to serve as administrative chief resident. He furthered his expertise with a fellowship in sports medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, assisting teams like the New York Jets and New York Islanders. Dr. Sileo is a published expert on various orthopedic injuries and is board-certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Sileo is passionate about helping both competitive and recreational athletes recover from injuries. He often supports local sports teams on the sidelines and specializes in minimally invasive treatments for shoulder, hip, and knee injuries. He is among the few orthopedic surgeons in the tri-state area performing hip arthroscopy for labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement.

His practice focuses on rehabilitation and preventative training for sports-related injuries. Additionally, he has a keen interest in treating cartilage and meniscal injuries, utilizing platelet-rich plasma therapy, and providing comprehensive fracture care. Dr. Sileo currently leads the Division of Sports Medicine at St. Charles Hospital and serves as President of the St. Charles Medical Staff.
