Meet Dr. Michael J. Sileo

Dr. Sileo is a native of Garden City, Long Island, and graduated magna cum laude from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1998. He subsequently earned his medical degree at SUNY Stony Brook in 2002. His post-graduate training included a surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Stony Brook, where he was selected by the faculty to serve as administrative chief resident in his final year. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where he served as an assistant team orthopedist to the New York Jets, New York Islanders, Hofstra University, and Hunter University. Dr. Sileo has published extensively on shoulder, knee, and ankle injuries including rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, labral tears, complex knee ligamentous injuries, and achilles tears. He has presented his clinical research at both regional and national meetings. Dr. Sileo is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery for both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (FAAOS).

Dr. Sileo has a particular interest in the care of both the competitive and recreational athlete. He is actively involved in the community, and can frequently be found taking care of athletes on the sideline of several local football teams. He specializes in the arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee injuries, but has extensive experience in most areas of both operative and non-operative orthopedics. Dr. Sileo is one of the few orthopedic surgeons in the tri-state area who routinely performs hip arthroscopy for the minimally invasive treatment of hip labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement.

Dr. Sileo’s practice emphasizes both rehabilitation as well as training to prevent sports related injuries. His other areas of interest include the treatment of cartilage and meniscal injuries, platelet rich plasma therapy, and fracture care. Dr. Sileo currently serves as Director for the Division of Sports Medicine at St. Charles Hospital, and is President of the St. Charles Medical Staff.

David Cesarino PA-C

Physician Assistant

David Cesarino is a board-certified physician assistant. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Northeastern University in 2010 before obtaining a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Touro College in 2013.

Over the past decade, David has worked with patients with joint and spine injuries and conditions. He takes pride in educating his patients on their conditions and the reasons for specific treatments. David sees patients in the office and assists Dr. Sileo in the operating room. He enjoys being involved in all his patients’ diagnostic and therapeutic phases of care.

In his spare time, David likes to spend time with his family and friends. He is a big proponent of exercise and also practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. David believes in the ability to exercise and stay active to promote longevity and wellness and decrease disability. He uses his orthopedics and sports medicine knowledge to help his patients return to the activities they love after being injured.

Bianca Forte

Surgical Coordinator

Since joining Orthopedic Associates of Long Island in 2022, Bianca has grown into her role as Surgical Coordinator, where she is dedicated to ensuring every patient feels comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their surgical journey. Known for her impeccable attention to detail and compassionate approach, she takes pride in coordinating care seamlessly while creating a positive experience for patients and their families.

Beyond the workplace, Bianca enjoys seeking out new adventures, spending weekends horseback riding, and creating meaningful memories with her family. Her commitment to connection, care, and balance is reflected in both her professional and personal life.

Taylor Clark

Office Manager

Taylor has been a dedicated member of Team Sileo since 2019 and now proudly serves as Office Manager. Over the years, she has become an integral part of the practice, playing a key role in day-to-day operations and consistently going above and beyond for every patient. She now leads the office with confidence, organization, and a touch of personality that keeps everything running smoothly. If you call the office, you’re likely to be greeted by her bright and bubbly demeanor.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys hiking with her husband, getting lost in a good book, and unwinding with a well-earned glass of wine.
