Dr. Sileo, a Hauppauge native, graduated magna cum laude from the College of William and Mary in 1998 and earned his medical degree at SUNY Stony Brook in 2002. He completed his surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Stony Brook, where he was honored to serve as administrative chief resident in his final year. Following this, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, assisting teams like the New York Jets and New York Islanders. Dr. Sileo has published extensively on various shoulder injuries, including rotator cuff tears and shoulder instability, and has presented his research at national conferences. He is board-certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (FAAOS).

Dr. Sileo is passionate about caring for athletes, whether competitive or recreational. You might spot him on the sidelines, supporting local football teams. He specializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatments for shoulder, hip, and knee injuries, and is one of the few surgeons in the tri-state area performing hip arthroscopy for labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement.

Dr. Sileo emphasizes rehabilitation and training to prevent sports-related injuries. His interests also include treating cartilage and meniscal injuries, platelet-rich plasma therapy, and fracture care. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Division of Sports Medicine at St. Charles Hospital and is the President of the St. Charles Medical Staff.
